October 2006 - A Special Multi-Client Study:

The Last Frontier in Agriculture:
Brazilian Expansion, Investment, and
Price Implications in the New Agriculture
and Bio-Fuel Economy

As US agriculture has embarked on a strategic initiative to utilize its agriculture to reduce the nation’s dependence on imported energy and as China just keeps growing and growing and requiring more and more from its agriculture and the world, some agricultural experts are questioning the adequacy of global supplies of grains and oilseeds in the next decade. A quick response to this question of adequacy is that “Brazil will fill the void.”

While this statement may well be true, it has never been appropriately or fully vetted as a response to global food and renewable fuel security. This study, to be accomplished by a truly unique analytic team comprised of specialists from Informa Economics, Inc. (Informa) and Agra FNP Brazil (FNP), will delve deeply into Brazil’s economy, agriculture and related value chains to assess just how capable this country is to “back stop” the world’s food and fiber supply.

This study will integrate detailed desk research with personal interviews of Brazil’s agribusiness and related public agencies to describe, evaluate, forecast and provide a strategic assessment of Brazil’s emerged and evolving role in global agriculture.

Please join Informa and FNP in this comprehensive multi-client study that will examine Brazil’s agriculture and food/renewable fuels sector in great detail resulting in strategic ideas for your organization’s business planning, policy development and longer term strategic positioning.
