Situation and Outlook

Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:00 am US Central Time

Informa Economics and Sovecon are proud to offer you a chance to get the most up-to-date information on the upcoming Russian and Ukrainian situation and outlook through our latest webinar presentation:

Russia & Ukraine Agriculture:
Situation and Outlook 2016

Russia and Ukraine are two of the world’s largest producers and exporters of agricultural products. In 2014/15 Russia ranked 4th in wheat exports with 20 million metric tons, placing the nation just behind Canada (23 mmt), the United States (24 mmt) and the European Union (31 mmt). Russian is also the world’s 2nd biggest barley exporter after the EU. No less important is Ukraine, which is the 5th biggest global exporter of wheat with 11 mmt and 3rd in the world in corn exports with 18 mmt.  The Black Sea region’s importance to the world grain market is undeniable.

The importance of Russia and Ukraine on the international grain market is only enhanced by those countries' roles as  geopolitical players. The volatility in the region and the marketplace make having the most accurate and up-to-date information key to your business decision-making.

The webinar will be hosted and presented by General Director and founder of SovEcon Ltd., Dr. Andrei E. Sizov and Mr. Andrey Sizov Jr., Managing Director of SovEcon and Dr. Rejeana M. Gvillo, Commodity Analyst of Informa Economics.

Dr. Sizov is responsible for all key aspects of SovEcon’s activities, including weekly market analysis and production forecasts for Russia's grain and oilseed commodities and client consulting. Mr. Sizov Jr., who has presented on this topic at the USDA Outlook Forum, has more than 15 years of experience as an advisor or consultant on agriculture markets and is co-owner of SovEcon, the oldest and the only independent Russian consultancy focused on agriculture.  Dr. Gvillo's primary emphasis is on wheat and rice fundamental analysis.

The topics covered in this webinar will include:

  • Global wheat supply and demand situation.

  • Russian and Ukrainian 2015 crop area, yields and production.

  • Current crop conditions and prospects for the 2016 crops.

  • Demand for crop products within the Black Sea region.

  • Availability of Black Sea grain for export .

  • Questions and answers.

These and other timely and critical questions will be covered in the 45-50 minute Russia and Ukraine Outlook Webinar to be conducted December 14 at 10:00 am US Central Time.  No decision maker, trader or manager should miss this important event.
